Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Introduction
Komodo Go("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application or visit our website.
Information We Collect
Komodo Go is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information necessary to provide our services:
- Connection Information: Server URLs and API keys you provide to connect to your Komodo instances. This data is stored locally on your device.
- App Preferences: Your theme preferences and display settings, stored locally on your device.
When you visit our website, we collect limited usage data through our self-hosted analytics:
- Website analytics (Umami): Page views, referrer URLs, device and browser details, operating system, and approximate location (country/region). Umami is designed to be cookie-less and uses anonymized IP addresses to generate aggregated statistics. Analytics data is processed on our own infrastructure and is not sent to a third-party analytics provider.
How We Use Your Information
The information collected is used solely to:
- Enable you to connect to and manage your Komodo infrastructure
- Remember your app preferences for a better user experience
- Provide secure authentication to your Komodo instances
Data Storage and Security
All sensitive data, including API keys and connection credentials, is stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage mechanisms (Keychain on iOS, Encrypted Shared Preferences on Android). We do not transmit or store your credentials on any external servers.
Third-Party Services
Komodo Go communicates directly with your Komodo server instances. The mobile app does not use third-party advertising trackers. Our website uses a self-hosted instance of Umami Analytics to understand aggregate usage and improve the site. Analytics data is processed on our infrastructure and is not shared with third-party analytics providers.
Data Retention
Your data remains on your device until you choose to delete it. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data. We do not retain any of your data on external servers.
Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your information. You can delete your connection data and preferences at any time through the app settings or by uninstalling the application.
Children's Privacy
Komodo Go is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
